About this coffee
Pink Bourbon is the kind of variety that makes coffee people lower their voices. The cherries turn pink instead of red, and the taste leans more towards tea than classic coffee. Alberio Lugo grows it on his farm San Pedro in Acevedo, Huila, in southern Colombia.
After picking, the coffee first ferments under water. Only then is it washed and dried. That slow route gives a delicate, precise cup: peach, white tea and cherry blossom.
This is an outspoken filter coffee. Roasted light, at its best as a pour-over, for the moments you actually sit down for it.

What is Pink Bourbon?
A rare variety from Huila, loved for its floral, tea-like character. The ripe cherries really are pink, hence the name.
What does underwater fermentation do?
Under water the cherry ferments slowly and evenly. That gives clean, precise flavours rather than wild ones.
Can I pull espresso with it?
We only roast it as a filter roast. For espresso, have a look at our espresso coffees instead.
