About this coffee
Meet Gakuyu Ndimaini, the official competition coffee for the Dutch AeroPress Championship 2026 . Together with our friends at Nordic Approach, we selected this washed Kenyan coffee for one simple reason: there is so much to discover in this cup!
Grown by smallholder farmers around Gakuyu Factory in Nyeri, it has that vibrant character we love in great Kenyan coffees. Expect an intense, jammy cup with blackcurrant and blackberry, layered with dried fruit, delicate violet florals and a black tea finish. Juicy, complex and full of possibilities — exactly the kind of coffee we want to put in the hands of this year’s 48 AeroPress competitors.
