About this coffee
Our new favorite from Uganda - a surprising blend
This 100% estate-grown arabica coffee from the western part of Uganda is truly a discovery. With fresh notes of pear, surprising hints of earl grey (think iced tea!), and a sweet/bitter profile of hazelnut, this coffee keeps surprising you. Perfect as sweet and full filter coffee, but also clear and refreshing as espresso.
Why this coffee stands out
The coffee comes from the slopes of the Rwenzori Mountains in western Uganda, where around 300 smallholder farmers grow coffee under perfect conditions. With sufficient sunlight and rain, here is coffee of exceptional quality.
The farmers deliver their cherry to Agri Evolve’s processing station in Nyabirongo. Here, the coffee is carefully evaluated and sorted for quality. The washed process ensures a clear, fresh taste:
Pulping of the cherry
48-hour fermentation for flavor development
24-hour washing in clean water
Drying under Ugandan sun
Instructions
This multi-faceted coffee comes into its own as filter coffee (V60, Moccamaster) for a sweet, full experience, but also shines as clear and refreshing espresso.
