About this coffee
Our first Guatemala of the year comes from the hands of Marvin Carias. Marvin bought his first plot of land in 1990, making his farm the same age as The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. God I really loved that show as a kid, the cultural impact is nearly unrivaled, and if I age half as well as Will Smith I’ll be thrilled. Personally, I think the reaction to “the slap” was a bit overblown. ANYWAYS… Marvin has worked to expand and improve farming practices in holistic ways, from tree and shade management to starting his own wet-mill to better manage water waste. This year he has delivered us a clean and sweet cup that we put into the “everyday drinker” category.
